Dolores Dorantes is Acharya (Guru) of Buddhist tradition, journalist, writer, poet; Mexican, born in the mountains coffee farms in Cordoba, Veracruz in 1973; bred in the northern border of the country. Indigenous Zapotec by feeding.   His most recent book "style" appeared this year in the editorial Kenning Editions and in the collection if l'Arbre unto paroles, in Belgium and France, translated into French by Cathy Fourez (Style is also published in Ecuador in 2014 and in first edition in Mexico -2011- within the editorial ManoSanta). Intervene/intervene, its collaboration with the mexican poet Rodrigo Flores Sánchez, appeared in the editorial niuyorquina Ugly Duckling in 2015. Dorantes is also author of Dolores Dorantes by Dolores Dorantes; a collection of four books written in the Mexican desert, one of them "Dear Factory" published in Mexico in the year 2012 by the Stamp Fatal Practice, and two more (SexoPUROsexoVELOZ and September) published by the editorial Kenning Editions in co-edition with Counterpath, in 2008. In 2001 Editorial Fund Inland published his book letters "Lola (short letters)". The first book of Dolores Dorantes, "poems for children" was published by Editorial The Toucan of Virginia, in Mexico -1999-.   Dorantes has received several national and international awards, such as the fellowship Jacques-Rousseau, the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Germany in 2014. His work has formed part of curadurías and anthologies at the international level. Two of its performances ephemeral have been presented in Machine Project of Los Angeles, California; organization with whom he has also collaborated as curator.   Coordinates the bookshop mobile: Bookshop feminist, and the organization Sky Laptop(by a free education). Has nine books of poetry and prose published; their articles, poems and texts have been published in LARB, Culture Strike, Harriet, Open Space (sfmoma) and The Poetry Foundation, among others. His work has been translated to over seven languages including Bengali, Swedish, French, Portuguese, Dutch and German.   He founded the company Frugal for the arts of the northern border, AC; edited and co-created the sheet frugal, next to Juan Manuel Portillo and Arturo Ramirez-Lara; edited and cured the Revista Binacional Plan B. coordinated by six years the headquarters of documentation and studies of women, AC in Ciudad Juarez and founded the Project South Los Angeles in the United States, where he has lived since 2011. He loves the borders and believes in a Latin America Unida (like Simon Bolivar dreamed).   Working in an autobiographical book-documentary endless entitled structure in its performance improvisatorio "Prema", co-directs the documentary "Global" next to Glass Castle and written several books in collaboration with Anthony McCann, Ben Ehrenreich and Rodrigo Flores Sánchez.
